Producent aplikacji tawkon zademonstrował jak wzrasta promieniowanie telefonów podczas rozmowy, w chwili zasłonięcia ich anteny dłonią w tzw. "uścisku śmierci".


Na załączonym filmie zobaczyć można, że znikające kreski zasięgu to nie jedyny problem z jakim spotkać możemy się gdy wykonamy "uścisk śmierci". Oprócz tego nasze głowy będą eksponowane na większe dawki promieniowania emitowanego przez antenę telefonu.


W filmie, obok telefonu Apple iPhone 4, zaprezentowano BlackBerry 9700 i Google Nexus One (produkcji HTC). Warto przy tym pamiętać, że w/w telefony spełniają wszelkie normy bezpieczeństwa, a zmienne siły sygnału emitowanego przez telefon nie są dla producentów niczym nowym. Po raz pierwszy jednak można temu zjawisku przyjrzeć się w aż tak atrakcyjny wizualnie sposób dzięki aplikacji tawkon.

Finalna wersja programu dostępna jest na wybrane modele telefonów BlackBerry. Apple odrzucił prośbę o umieszczenie programu w App Store i póki co program na iPhone'y jest niedostępny. Wkrótce program ukaże się też w wersji na inne platformy.
